| Long time, no see. But that's a given since I never update this poor thing. I wouldn't be surprised if it was covered in dust already. But that's okay, because I'm back!!! *silence* ...Okay, I'll just go on then, I guess. One of the most interesting things happened in French class the other day. We were starting a new section and, of course, there will be corny dialogue to go with it. But since said dialogue has all of the new, shiny section three vocabulary words, our teacher made a few people read it by giving them parts in dialogue. The first couple of times went down normally, person A spews out French, person B replies in French; person A translates what they said, person B does the same. Not rocket science, eh? So after hearing the same dialogue over and over again, I got bored and started to go into La-La-Land. Then I hear Charles say (in his really deep voice): "...I'm so sorry about last night." Insert awkward silence for about 3 seconds, then chaos breaks loose as the whole class bursts out laughing, myself included. Madame is naturally flustered, and as for Charles? I have no idea since I was laughing so hard. Then later, we had to answer questions orally about the dialoge, so Madame asks me a question: "Why did he call her?" I reply: "Il veut m'excuser pour...wait....um...not m'excuser, s'excuser!..." (Translation: He wanted to apologize to me for..wait..um...not apologize to me, apologize to her!) And right after I finish my sentence, Madame says: "And it has nothing to do with sex!" And of course, the class starts laughing again. Ah, I do love my French class. |
